Banrida Wahlang, J. Christopher States, & Ted Smith KY Colonel and Louisville Mayoral Awardees

Congratulations to Drs. J. Christopher States, Director of the Center for Integrative Environmental Health Sciences, Ted Smith, Director of the Center for Healthy Air, Water and Soil, and Banrida Wahlang, Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, on receiving the prestigious KY Colonel award, highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky, and the Louisville Mayoral Proclamation of Distinguished Citizen award. These honors were presented at the Speed Art Museum Cinema screening of the PFAS documentary "Burned: Protecting the Protectors," by filmmaker Elijah Yetter-Bowman. Additionally, the proclamation of September 10th as PFAS Chemicals Awareness Day in Kentucky. You can watch a video recap of this event HERE.
