Jiapeng Huang Appointed Inaugural Chief Scientific Officer

The UofL School of Medicine and UofL Health have established a joint leadership position to strengthen their shared academic mission, aimed at advancing clinical and translational research. Effective Feb. 1, Jiapeng Huang was appointed as the inaugural chief scientific officer for UofL Health and associate dean for clinical research at the UofL School of Medicine. In this new dual role, Huang will spearhead clinical and translational research initiatives across both organizations. His responsibilities include enhancing professional development for physicians, clinicians, scientists and research staff; fostering collaborative research efforts; and ensuring efficiency, transparency, accountability, compliance and strategic growth.
