Two Hite students chosen for federal photography internships
Professor Mary Carothers has connected two Hite students with Photography internships. Christopher Bodden is now the Federal Photography Intern for Congressman John Yarmuth. Christopher will be documenting Louisville events for the congressman and sending his photographs directly to Washington D.C. Christopher plans to make an excursion to visit the congressman in his office at the US House of Representatives this summer. Francis Dumstorf is the official Photography Intern for LEO Weekly, Louisville Eccentric Observer). He is working directly with LEO's managing editor Keith Stone. Since the beginning of the semester Francis has covered stories for Leo including Girls Rock and James Grubola’s current drawing exhibition at the Cressman Center For Visual Arts. Francis will also be conducting a photo story about Russian American immigrants living in Shalom Towers. Keep an eye out for Christopher Bodden's and Francis Dumstorf’s published photography! Also, Professor Mary Carothers is this year’s photography judge for Literary LEO. Come celebrate with the winners on Wednesday, Feb. 7th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Copper & Kings Distillery! Carothers is also serving as one of the art judges for this year’s Congressional Art Competition, an annual contest hosted by the US House of Representatives that enables high school students from across the nation to share their artistic talents.
