Student-Parent Support Network

The Student-Parent Support Network promotes the academic success of the university’s student-parents (pregnant and parenting), offering support, resources, and community. We host monthly events and provide overall support to student-parents at UofL. More opportunities to connect will be hosted by the Student-Parent Association advised under our office. Parents come in all forms including those that have adopted, guardians, or serving as caregivers. You don’t have to be a parent to be involved. 

We understand that being a student-parent can be both rewarding and challenging. We are here to support you every step of the way. Remember, you are not alone on this journey. The University of Louisville community stands with you, cheering you on as you conquer new heights.

Participant Benefits

  • Celebrate your accomplishments and find support through challenges with your Center for Belonging, Access, & Engagement Success Coach.
  • Student-Parent Resource Guide including campus and community resources. 
  • Monthly communications highlighting upcoming programs, opportunities, & resources. 
  • Programming on various topics to support you academically, professionally and personally. 
  • Family friendly events to center your family 
  • Celebrate your accomplishments at the end of the year and recognition to graduating members with a Student-Parent Support Network graduation chord. 

Participant Requirements 

  • Success Coaching with the Center for Belonging, Access, & Engagement 
    • Attend at least 2 sessions per semester (Virtual options available)
  • Attend at least 2 events per semester (Virtual options available)
    • Student-Parent Success Network events and/or Center for Belonging, Access, & Engagement events
  • Pre and post survey completion
  • Winter Wonderland Program Participation (Fall semester) - Opportunity to receive holiday assistance. 
    • Will need to attend at least 2 events by given deadline to be eligible.
