Description: The renovation includes a new entrance facing Third Street and boasts a number of new features, including an automated storage and retrieval system that provides highly efficient, secure and environmentally controlled storage of up to 1.2 million volumes. The system enables the university to increase its holdings to 3 million volumes while providing rapid, robotic book retrieval. Students also benefit from a 24-hour study facility, which provides a safe study place around the clock, and from an expanded and updated current periodicals reading room.
