Welcome
Welcome, students and friends:
As the provost's advocate for students at the University of Louisville, I am here to help you in many ways:
- University systems, policies and procedures are sometimes complicated, lengthy and difficult. I will assist you in understanding university systems and policies.
- I will answer your questions and give you advice confidentially. If you ask a question I cannot answer, I will find someone who can and report the answer to you, or arrange for you to meet with them.
- I will give you information about support services and functions available at NO COST to you as a university student.
- I will provide basic information and guidance to help you navigate through UofL without difficulty.
- I will help you move your concerns and complaints to the appropriate academic unit or campus office.
- I will follow up to determine whether your issue has been timely resolved.
I have served the university for many years. I have extensive knowledge of the university’s bureaucratic structure and function, strong sympathy with you as a student or university stakeholder, and a firm regard for institutional procedures to resolve complaints and concerns. I can be reached at advocate@louisville.edu or by phone at 852-8113. I am also glad to see you at my office, 131 Strickler Hall, East Wing.
With best wishes for your academic success,
Prafula P. Sheth, Ed.D.
