Welcome to the University of Louisville Community Music Program. With its storied history, the Community Music Program plays a vital role in music education and performance for all members of our vibrant music community in the Greater Louisville area. We offer instruction in all musical styles, delivered in a variety of settings including private instruction, classes, and group lessons including Chamber Ensembles, Class Guitar, and Rock Band. The Program provides top-rate instruction across three broad concentration areas: Traditional lessons, Suzuki, and an intensive College Prep Program.
Our dedicated and highly qualified teachers are available for lessons in bass, guitar, harp, piano, strings, winds, percussion and voice. Online lesson plans for most instruments are also available, bringing the highest standards of music instruction into the 21st century. Whether you are beginning music lessons for the first time, refining your artistic craft, or hoping to develop a greater appreciation for music in general, we have something to offer within an engaging and fun-filled environment.
As the Director of the Community Music Program, I look forward to being a part of your musical enrichment at the University of Louisville. I welcome all parents, students, and teachers to share with me their comments, ideas, and memories as we embark on a season of artistic excellence.
