Message from Dr. Anthony Casale
Welcome to the Department of Urology at the University of Louisville. As the newest department at the School of Medicine, we are excited about the future. We received full accreditation from the Residency Review Committee of the ACGME for our new Urology Residency in December 2008 and will take our first residents in the July of 2009. We are currently focused on adding to our faculty in order to build on our outstanding educational programs for residents and medical students and to provide outstanding urologic care for patients across the lifespan -- from children to the elderly and everyone in between.
I joined the Department as Chair in 2005 after spending ten years at Indiana University. As a Kentucky native, it is a privilege to return to the University of Louisville and be given the responsibility of building a new department built on a long tradition of excellence in urologic education and practice.
We are thrilled to have an outstanding faculty of physicians and dedicated staff on board and look forward to serving our colleagues, patients and students and alumni as we enhance our educational, clinical and research missions.
