The U of L School of Medicine is committed to Graduate Medical Education, and this commitment enhances our mission of providing patient care, research, and education. We believe that quality graduate medical education programs contribute to better patient care services and a scholarly environment where both faculty and residents can participate in research activities. Residents have the opportunity for personal and professional growth under the supervision and guidance of qualified, competent teaching faculty. The School of Medicine ensures that its graduate medical education programs meet or exceed the requirements of the ACGME and its individual RRC's. With more than 45 residency and fellowship programs, a full range of graduate medical education is offered. For information on specific residency and fellowship programs, click on departments below.
