Oncologist with Patient

The MD-MPH prepares future physicians to approach health care from both an individual, patient-based perspective and a population-based perspective.  This combination of the disciplines of medicine and public health enables practitioners to advance their patients' health and wellness using multiple strategies and provides options for physicians to become leaders in efforts to improve the public's health at the local, regional and national levels.

Students will be front-line participants in the evolution of public health, learning both the foundations of public health theory and practice and new ways to think about and manage health information in today's interconnected world.
