Twitter 101: Staying in Touch with Family and Friends

Twitter is a micro-blogging network of real-time posts that are limited to 140 characters or less. The limitation on characters discourages many from using it and reaping its many benefits. Did you know that Twitter is fast becoming a new search engine, competing with Google and Bing for attention from people surfing the web? Using Twitter has become a must for staying in touch with family and friends. After an introduction to social media basics, this class provides expert instruction on creating a Twitter account, using the Twitter dashboard, following people on Twitter, how to Tweet, and using Twitter on mobile devices.
