University of Louisville has partnered with Higher One, a financial services company focused solely on higher education, to offer faster delivery of refunds to students. All refunds are processed by Higher One.  The University will NOT issue refund checks, so you MUST use you card to access the Higher One website and choose an option for receiving any refund due to you.  The UofL HigherOne Card with the MasterCard logo will provide students with two options on how to receive their refunds. The options are - Easy Refund to the OneAccount or ACH transfer (direct deposit) to the student's bank account.

This card is required for selection of a refund preference. To avoid delay in receiving any money due you, please access the Higher One website and use your 16 digit card number to activate your refund status with Higher One. Even if you do not receive financial aid, you may be eligible to receive a refund from the University of Louisville. For example, if you drop a class during the drop/add period, or if you withdraw, you may be eligible for a refund so don’t throw the card away. Keep your UofL HigherOne Card somewhere safe in case you need to access future funds owed to you.

You will receive a UofL HigherOne Card shortly after you register for classes in your first semester at the University of Louisville. The card will be mailed to your current address on file with the university. If your initial card is mailed to the wrong address, please contact the Bursar’s Office. Once you activate your UofL HigherOne Card and select a preference, any subsequent address change will need to be made both at UofL and at Higher One. (Even if you do not choose the Easy Refund method) Address changes can be made for the university by logging into ULink: LOG IN, Student Services, Personal Information, Home and Mailing Addresses. Changes for your Higher One refund address and the UofL HigherOne Card can be made by logging into the Higher One website. Go to the User Profile tab and then select Address & Phone.

International Students – The UofL HigherOne Card cannot be mailed to an address outside of the U.S. Please log on to ULink and provide a U.S. mailing address. After updating your address, contact the Bursar’s office to ensure a card is sent out to.
