UofL APSI Policies and Registration
The University of Louisville (UofL) is pleased to offer a College Board endorsed Advanced Placement Summer Institute June 16-20 and July 21-25, 2014. New and experienced AP teachers will spend four and a half days exploring the latest methods and curriculum topics in AP curriculum, teaching strategies, and course content.
The APSI fee for classes is $500; Biology, Environmental Science, and Chemistry have an extra $50 fee for lab costs. Registration fees include College Board packets, training materials, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
All applications must be accompanied by full payment or the school district’s Purchase Order. Applications received after the deadlines must include full course payment or a school/school system Purchase Order and an additional $45 late fee. All course fees must be paid in full before the first day of the institute. Some registrants may or may not receive their College Board packet during the institute; however, packets will be ordered as soon as possible.
Courses will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications will be accepted until the maximum enrollment is reached.
Payments may be made with the online registration form using VISA, MASTERCARD, check, money order, or purchase order. Checks should be made payable to the University of Louisville

Classes will be held in various locations all situated on the UofL Belknap main campus and the adjacent to duPont Manual High School. The campus is only 10 minutes from the airport as well as downtown Louisville. We are an environmentally friendly and sustainable campus. Wireless connections will be available to participants during the institute. We strongly encourage all participants to bring a laptop computer and/or USB for use during the institute.

Schedules may vary from course to course, but daily sessions begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. (Please note that we do not give graduate or undergraduate credit for our institute)
Once you submit the registration form, you will be sent an e-mail confirmation of your registration from the email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. All communications from the institute will be sent via e-mail. Please make sure you include an email address that is checked regularly throughout the school year and in the summer.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Full refunds of APSI tuition will be issued for cancellations receivedfour weeks before each institute begins. No refunds will be issued after that date. There is a $30 charge for all checks returned for insufficient funds.

Although every effort will be made to maintain the published schedule of sessions, events such as insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, room conflicts, or inclement weather may require a schedule adjustment. Participants will be notified of any change in the published information.
Certificates of Attendance
Certificates are delivered by mail at the end of the institute to participants whose registration fees have been paid in full and who attended all class meetings.
On-campus housing is available to participants. Fees for on-campus housing is $230 for the week (Sunday - Friday) must be paid in full on the first day of the institute by check, credit card or money order. Payment should be made to the University of Louisville.
We have agreements with a few local hotels to offer participants a reduced rate. Please mention the UofL APSI when making reservations.
All participants driving a car to campus will receive a parking permit.
