CardSmart is an enterprise-level technology platform, provided by EAB/Navigate, that combines predictive analytics with communication and workflow tools that are used by administrators, faculty, and staff, in a coordinated care network designed to proactively support student success.
Students - Use CardSmart to...
Your login information for CardSmart will be the same as the UserId (e.g., fmlast01) and password information that you use for ULink. If your password needs to be reset, go to password.louisville.edu. Passwords can also be reset by calling the IT Help Desk at 502-852-7997.
Find your Academic Advisor
Once you login, you will find your classes in the current term with the class name, professor(s), and day/time. You will also find your student success team, including your academic advisor, in the bottom right corner. The faculty members for the courses you are currently enrolled in will also be displayed. You can email any of the faculty or staff by selecting the grey envelope.
Make an Academic Advising Appointment
Making an advising appointment in CardSmart is quick and easy. You can do so by clicking the blue button in the top right corner of the page. Once you confirm the appointment you will receive an an appointment notification email. In addition, you will receive an appointment reminder e-mail 24 hours before your appointment, followed by a text message reminder 2 hours before your scheduled appointment. Verify that your cell phone number is up to date in ULink. For additional help, please click here for step by step instructions. You can also use CardSmart to schedule an appointment with your Student Success Coordinator and Cultural Center Coach too!
See your Progress Reports
Each fall and spring semester, before the last day to withdraw, instructors will complete progress reports through CardSmart to provide feedback on your progress in the course. Progress reports from the current semester and previous semesters can be found in the 'Reports' tab. If your instructor identifies that you are at-risk in the course, you, along with your advisor, will receive a notification email. You will see the details of the progress report on the 'Reports' tab. If you are not marked at-risk, you will not receive an e-mail, but the details will be available on the site. If you have additional questions regarding progress reports, please contact your academic advisor.
See your Advising Notes
Advisors keep all of the notes from advising appointments in CardSmart. Whether you have had only had one advisor or multiple advisors across majors, you will be able to see all of your advising notes from advising appointments in CardSmart under the 'Reports' tab. If there are attached documents, you will be able to access them as well.
