Keys to Success

KeysUofL’s Keys to Success program provides students who have demonstrated financial and/or technological need with a laptop to succeed in their coursework.

Be sure to check the minimum technology requirements of your unit as these laptops might not meet them. Specifically, these laptops do not meet minimum requirements for the Speed School.

Who is eligible for the program?
This program is for undergraduate students enrolled at UofL in Fall 2021.

How does it work?
Participants will be given a laptop computer to use for their coursework while enrolled in a UofL undergraduate program. After eight semesters (fall and spring) of continuous enrollment (or if you graduate before that time) participants will be granted ownership of the laptop. For students who are chosen to participate, the laptop distribution will take place by appointment in the Belknap Academic Building.

How do I apply?
This application cycle is currently closed. We will notify students when it re-opens.

What are the laptop specifications?
Lenovo V14 laptop with webcam
Intel i5 CPU
256 GB SSD storage
Windows 10
4-year warranty* with accidental damage coverage

*Should your laptop need servicing, you will take your laptop to iTech Connect in the Miller Information Technology Center. UofL IT will manage the warranty and repair process on your behalf, so you do not incur any costs.
