Eric Jordan and Becca Halpryn, recent graduates, named Sociology's "Outstanding Graduates" for December Commencement

Eric Jordanhas been named our “Outstanding PhD Student” (having defended his dissertation, entitled “Exploring Black "Saviors": A Content Analysis of Black Characters, and Racial Discourses, in Obama Era Films,” in July), and Becca Halprynhas been named our “Outstanding MA Student” (having defend her thesis, entitled “Connecting Right-Wing Authoritarianism to Environmental Beliefs and Behaviors:  A Pilot Study,” in June).  These awards are given to two recent graduates whose names are then included in each May or December Commencement program.  Congratulations to Eric and Becca!
