Kathryn Vanderespt

Kathryn VanderEspt has earned a Fulbright Research Fellowship. She will travel to Slovenia to research how “forever chemicals” (PFAS) can be broken down during wastewater treatment.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in more than 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Administered in the U.S. by the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program was established in 1946 to promote international goodwill through education and cultural exchange.

Overall, it’s not only (the) professors, but an accumulation of all the employees at UofL who have helped me get to the position that I am in today, and I am grateful for every single one of them."
