The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in more than 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Administered in the U.S. by the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program was established in 1946 to promote international goodwill through education and cultural exchange.
“After my Fulbright in Kazakhstan was cut short due to the pandemic, I started working at the Americana World Community Center in Louisville. While isolated from my family and friends, I spent nearly every day working in person with a small group of students from Thailand. My connection with these students and their families inspired me to apply for a Fulbright to Thailand, so that I can acquire language and cultural skills that will make me a better teacher and friend."
