Farhiya Shaban has earned a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to teach English in Bahrain.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in more than 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Administered in the U.S. by the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program was established in 1946 to promote international goodwill through education and cultural exchange.

Overall being recognized for this award reminded me that I should always believe in myself even if the goal seems way beyond my reach."


Porter Scholarship.

Earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of Arts & Sciences in May 2022 in psychology with a minor in Arabic and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies.
