Elisabeth Riddle


UofL senior Elisabeth Riddle has been awarded a 2017 Etscorn International Summer Research Award. UofL awards the $5,000 Irvin F. and Alice S. Etscorn International Summer Research Award to promising undergraduates interested in conducting international research over the summer.

Riddle will travel to Geneva, Switzerland to study international relations, diplomacy and French.

To be awarded for my pursuit of research during this critical point in world history brings extraordinary emotion and validates my dreams of participating in global affairs. I greatly anticipate this opportunity to represent my university while abroad in Geneva.”

    • An alumna who graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences with a bachelor’s degree. She graduates May 2018 from A&S; with a master’s degree in theatre arts and French.

Dr. Patricia Condon encouraged me to apply and counseled me throughout the application process. Her advice and support were invaluable as I was writing my research proposal. Dr. Wendy Pfeffer and Dr. Wendy Yoder also served as advisors and wrote letters of recommendation for me. I am thankful to be able to work with these three remarkable women while studying at the University of Louisville.”
