Wendy Yoder completed her Ph.D. at Indiana University, writing her dissertation on the Abbé Prévost. Her teaching at the University of Louisville has covered the curriculum, from first-year language courses to graduate classes on a variety of topics. She created ML 250, Introduction to the Francophone World, a course taught in English that brings the sights, sounds, and tastes of Africa and the Caribbean into her classroom.
She currently serves as advisor to undergraduate students of French.
Her volunteer work in the Louisville community includes service as President of the Alliance française and as Co-Director of the Sister Cities Committee for Montpellier, France.
