The Floyd Theatre doubles as a great venue for screening films

The Floyd Theatre is one of the most unique and storied spaces in the SAC. For years it was home to two antique 35mm film projectors that played many independent, international, and blockbuster films over the decades. Now the theater is equipped with a digital projector and state of the art sound system that can screen films or enhance a presentation. The Floyd was most recently renovated in Spring 2018 and features 174 fixed theater seats with fold-down lap desks and built-in power outlets for charging laptops and smart devices. It is the perfect space for a large group presentation or Q & A panel, especially if they involve any multimedia elements.

The Student Activities Board also hosts a weekly film series on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students and the campus community can enjoy feature films at a very low price, as well as a value-priced concession stand.
