Sam Lord Research Computing Cluster
The Department of Physics and Astronomy received a generous $75,000 donation from Mr. Sam Lord toward acquiring a dedicated research computing cluster to enable more competitive and cutting-edge research in Physics and Astronomy. Mr. Lord, who is both a Physics student and a University benefactor, has now given an additional $75,000 with the intent of stimulating the giving of yet another $75,000 from Physics alumni and friends—for a potential total gift of $225,000—by June 30, 2017.
