 The need for Business of Medicine (BoM) education for physicians has been well-documented. Despite this need, many physicians are ill-equipped to handle the BoM topics they face daily. To address this gap in medical education, a four-week elective for medical students was created in partnership with Medscape. Through this partnership, a unique website was created allowing students to complete modules that teach BoM topics such as personal finance and insurance. If this course is determined to be an effective means of educating medical students, the course creators hope to expand this curriculum to medical schools across the country.
