What's a Peer Mentor?

Ambassador Peer Mentors and Peer Advising Ambassadors are UofL students who work with select student groups, starting at Welcome Week and continuing through the fall . You may have a Student Success Peer Mentor or a Peer Advising Ambassador assigned to you, but don't worry, they're both super helpful Peer Mentors. These outstanding student leaders can help ease your college transitions, help you form campus connections and facilitate your success at UofL. Your Peer Mentor can offer you valuable insights and support for academic and personal challenges that you're likely to encounter as a college student.

How do I find my Peer Mentor?

Your Peer Mentor will introduce themselves through UofL email during Welcome Week. You will also have opportunities to meet with them in-person throughout the fall semester, with some mentors and mentees continuing into the spring semester. Ambassador Peer Mentors often meet in the Student Success Center in the Belknap Academic Building.

You can always check to see if you have a Peer Mentor, and who they are, by looking at your Success Team in CardSmart. Learn more about using CardSmart here.
