Peer Mentors
Nobody knows the UofL experience better than our current students, and that's a big reason why peer mentor programs are so important.
Connecting with your peer mentor provides benefits like:
- Regular communication and connection with fellow students
- Introduction to academic & campus resources
- Leadership opportunities through campus organizations
- Resources to support successful college transitions
- Providing a resource during your college career and beyond
At New Cards Orientation in the summer, students starting in the fall semester are matched with a Student Orientation Staff member, who will guide you through that two-day experience and get you started off on the right foot. Your SOSer will continue to serve as a resource all summer long as your Cards Connection mentor.
Academic Year Mentoring
- Ambassador Peer Mentors are available for any first-yer student by request (form opens in a new window). All students enrolled in the GEN 100 First Year Experience course for Exploratory & Pre-Unit students will automatically have an Ambassador, as will first-generation students participating in 1st UP.
