About the Programs

Nobody knows the UofL experience better than our current students, and that's a big reason why peer mentor programs are so important. Mentors can help students negotiate college transitions, form campus connections and help facilitate student success. As a mentor, you’ll share your lessons learned and tricks of the trade, and you’ll offer your valuable insights about the inevitable academic and personal challenges new students often encounter.

Mentoring isn’t only beneficial for UofL’s new students. As a mentor, you’ll gain valuable experience, too.

There are a variety of peer mentoring opportunities to consider and each program operates slightly different. It’s possible to apply and work for more than one, depending on the program and application requirements. Be sure to review all programs to see which are the best fit for you. If you have questions about the specific programs, reach out to the program contact listed with the specific job posting of interest.

These Peer Mentor programs will be hiring for the 2025-26 school year. All programs begin the hiring process in early spring, with applications opening as early as January and closing as late as March.
