USAREC Program Overview

The USAREC Instructor Course (USIC) is designed for instructors and leaders within the Recruiting and Retention College and other instructional and human resource programs in the United States Army, especially centered at Fort Knox. The curriculum of the program features the theory and cognitive science behind adult learning, instructional strategies, and organizational analysis and improvement.

Students in the program will enroll in the Master of Science (M.S.) in Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD) through the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Louisville. The program is a 12-credit hour program delivered over four weeks in-person at Fort Knox. Students may then continue in the traditional online or in-person classes to complete the M.S. degree, for the remaining 21 graduate credits in order to complete the degree.
