Announcing expanded internal grant programs for spring 2022
The Office of Research and Innovation is pleased to announce an expanded internal grants program. These grant programs will provide strategic support for the completion and initiation of research, scholarship and creative activities.
Application and eligibility requirements will be available online via UofL’s Competitions powered by InfoReady page. Two of these programs are currently accepting applications, both due on May 19, 2022:
- Programmatic Support: Provide up to $3,000 of funding to assist full-time, active-status researchers with the completion of a project where other funding sources are not available. Researchers from the arts, humanities, and social sciences, broadly defined, are especially encouraged to apply. There is an expectation that project outcomes will enable researchers to expand their research, creative activities, and/or scholarship.
- Jon Rieger Seed Grants: Provide up to $7,500 to assist full-time, active-status early career researchers in the initiation of new scholarship, creative activities, and other research approaches. Researchers from all disciplines are eligible. There is an expectation of significant scholarship and/or collection of preliminary data for proposal submission to an external funding source.

Note: The Human Subjects Protection Program Office has posted a revised policy manual and summary of changes on the HSPPO website. Updated consent form templates are also available. For new submissions to the IRB, please use the latest templates available. Instructions for submitting to the IRB are on the HSPPO website "Initial Submission" tab. Templates and resources are also available for research teams to utilize.
