SAAHP Conference held in Louisville

SAAHP Conference held in Louisville

We had a very successful Southeastern Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (SAAHP) Conference here in Louisville from April 4-7. Andy Wicke, D4, spoke on "There's no I in Team" during the opening session on Thursday. Friday afternoon's activities included a keynote address by Dr. Annetta Arno, Metro Louisville Director of Diversity in Health Care followed by admissions presentations and tours of the School of Dentistry and Medicine and a fabulous Kentucky themed reception in the Center for Translational Research. Thanks to all the faculty, staff (especially Student Affairs) and students (especially Andy Wicke, Brayden Haskell and James Low) who helped make the events so successful!

The advisors had a great visit in Louisville and were very complimentary of our new school. These advisors guide undergraduate students in their applications to professional schools and we hope they will have fond memories of our programs, our schools and our community when making recommendations to their students.

Dianne Foster, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, was the UofL coordinator and received a "Cardinal" as a token of appreciation from Deb Beck, SAAHP President and Celeste Crowe, SAAHP 2013 Program Chair.
