Following a lengthy and thorough selection process, Dr. Paula Collins has been selected to serve as Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs for the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. This position was vacated following the retirement of Dr. Timothy Daugherty.  

Before joining ULSD about 20 years ago, Dr. Collins worked in private practice and served as the dental director for Central State Hospital.

Since joining ULSD, she has served as clinical faculty, a clinic group leader, and course director for several courses including the International Service Learning Program. 

In recent years she has served, in addition to her teaching responsibilities and faculty practice participation, as the Director of Quality Assurance and the Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at ULSD. She is also a clinical consultant and active site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
