About 55 senior DMD students and six dental hygiene students made their way to the Georgia Congress Center to participate in exhibits, courses, demonstrations and networking opportunities. The UofL students were sponsored by our Dental Alumni Association for a two-night stay in the Westin Peachtree Hotel.

Approximately 36 DMD students were awarded $150 scholarships for the all-day "Gold Program," a new offering sponsored by the Hinman for dentists in their first 10 years of practice. The course covered many aspects of running a dental business along with tips and best practices from nationally renowned speakers.

Additionally, each year the Hinman Foundation supports one UofL DMD student and one dental hygiene student. The two students receive hotel accommodations, air travel, and a monetary award presented during a luncheon to honor the recipients during the Hinman Meeting.
