Dental students, faculty spend Spring Break serving in Peru
About two dozen students and faculty spent their Spring Break providing dental care to more than 300 people of the Amazon rain forest region along the Putumayo tributary of the Amazon River. Dr. Tim Daugherty, Dr. David Maddy, Dr. Barbara Stratton and Dr. Steven Kees (1981 ULSD graduate), along with Debbie Daugherty and Brigit Zaksek, RDH, accompanied ULSD dental and dental hygiene students on a medical/dental mission March 14 – 22, 2014.
The following students served in the region:

DH3 Students: Brook Huerta and Jenna Klingenberg
The group from Louisville joined with several other physicians, nurses, physical therapists and pharmacists from around the country under the sponsorship of the international organization known as Global Health Outreach.
