Speaking of "Proud"

Kevin Carter Speaking of ProudKevin Carter (Class of 1983) has been commanding his Army unit in Afghanistan since last November.  In regards to coming home, he should be "sleeping in his own bed in the Ville" (as he puts it) by September 14," but hey, who's counting.  As you can see from the picture, he has devoted some of his time in training his troops to use proper hand signs.  Know he/"they" enjoyed April 8th.

Go CARDS! and come home safely.  We'll happily turn the bed down for you!

Royal College Members are oft for the "Birds"

Ford GrantFord Grant's, (Class of 1984), numerous and varied contributions to the profession resulted him in being awarded fellowship in Dental Surgery without Examination in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

It's been told that he looked especially handsome in the formal garb he wore during the award ceremony.  (Don't call it a "skirt" or you'll get "kilt").   Thank goodness he's got great knees.

The honor was going to be "with examination," but when they received the attached photograph of Dr. Grant in action, the examiners decided it wasn't necessary.  Check out the picture below and decide for yourself.  UofL's National Championship basketball title has led to all kinds of unusual activities.

Regardless, congratulations Ford!
