Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology & Imaging
Within the University of Louisville, Professors Allan G. Farman and William C. Scarfe direct studies for dentists specializing in the various disciplines of dentistry, graduate level research, postdoctoral fellows, and DMD required undergraduate training in making and interpreting diagnostic images. They provide advanced courses and mentor research for candidates in the Masters of Science in Oral Biology and Masters of Science in Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology, as well as participating in the PhD program in Electrical Engineering.
Outside the University of Louisville, Professor Farman is Distinguished Guest Professor both of Peking University, China and of the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and External Examiner for the University of Malaysia, while Professor Scarfe is an External Examiner for graduate students at the University of Leuven, Belgium.
Professors Farman and Scarfe also provide consultative services in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology as board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radilologists in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and have spent a combined four decades in the active clinical practice of this discipline.
