Dr. Vidal Gonzalez completed his dental training and GPR residency at Universitat de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain. He then came to the United States and completed his periodontics training at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He received his Masters of Science in Oral Biology and Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Louisville in 2008. Dr. Vidal Gonzalez worked three years in private practice as a periodontist before joining the faculty at the University of Louisville. He is a full time faculty member and also an associate in the UofL faculty practice. Dr. Vidal Gonzalez specializes in esthetic periodontal and implant surgery.
Research Interests and Current Projects:
- Implants, implant site development including ridge augmentation and ridge preservation, periodontal plastic and esthetic surgery, periodontal regenerative therapy
