The Delphi Center is excited to announce a new opportunity. We are seeking two faculty affiliates for fall 2024. These positions aim to enhance our teaching and learning mission by bringing faculty perspectives to the center.
As a Faculty Affiliate, you will have the chance to:
- Immerse yourself in the work of the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning.
- Share your expertise with the Center and the educators who engage our services.
What’s Involved
Faculty Affiliates are expected to dedicate approximately 5 hours per week to their work with the Delphi Center from August 5 to December 6, 2024. Responsibilities may include:
- Designing and implementing programming
- Building resources
- Attending relevant meetings
We invite applications from faculty interested in collaborating with the Delphi Center on various topics related to teaching and learning.
Eligibility
All tenure-track and term faculty contracted to teach in 2024-25 at the time of application are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to applicants who have taught at UofL for at least three years. We encourage you to apply by Friday, May 3.
Faculty affiliates will be eligible for salary recovery for workload reallocation or a stipend for their work for us.
Applicants must have their unit administrator (department chair, dean) notify us that they are supportive of the faculty member serving in this role. Unit administrators must approve any salary recovery or workload reallocation if a teaching reassignment is involved. All applicants should ask their unit administrator to signal their support by sharing a link to the form that is embedded in the application. Note that a faculty member’s unit will receive funds to cover costs associated with workload reallocation up to $3500.
