Matthew Cave leads $10M initiative on military environmental health

Matthew Cave, deputy director of the Center for Integrative Environmental Health Sciences, spearheaded a comprehensive initiative on military/veterans’ environmental health investigating multiple relevant exposures (PFAS, dioxins, VOCs, PM, etc.) through basic/clinical/translational studies. Investigators have been awarded four DoD Toxic Exposure Research Program (TERP) Awards with two more applications receiving notices of intent to award (one TERP and one Military Exposure Research Program VA Merit application). The six awards will have a combined total direct cost of approximately $10 million over the lifetime of these awards.
