Easton Ford Awarded John M. Houchens Prize
PhD graduate Easton Ford, member of the CIEHS Career Development Program, has been awarded the prestigious John M. Houchens Prize for Outstanding Dissertation for his exceptional research in Microbiology and Immunology. Under the mentorship of Associate Professor Melissa Smith, Easton has made significant contributions to the development of cutting-edge genomic long-read sequencing technologies, advancing the study of antibody repertoires and other immune loci. In addition to his groundbreaking research, Easton has also demonstrated a commitment to mentoring and training fellow students in the lab, furthering the development of the next generation of scientists.
