Women's Empowerment Luncheon 2025
The 2025 Women's Center Women's Empowerment Awards Luncheon, "What is Intersectional Feminist Leadership Now?", will be held March 25th 11am-1pm in Bigelow Hall on the University of Louisville Belknap campus. The Women’s Center will present several awards at the luncheon including: The Mary K. Tachau Gender Equity Award, the Dr. M. Celeste Nichols Award, Community Pearl of Kentucky and several Women's Center scholarships.

Tickets: The event is free, but due to limited seating, registration is required.
We are currently at capacity. We have registration open for our waitlist and will reach out to those who registered in order received if more seats become available.

Cassie Chambers Armstrong, State Senator, District 19
Cassie Chambers Armstrong is a law professor and the senator for the 19th legislative district. She obtained her bachelor’s from Yale and her law degree from Harvard. After law school, she worked at the Louisville Legal Aid Society representing low-income people who have experienced domestic violence. Before joining the legislature, she served on Louisville Metro Council. She grew up in Berea, Kentucky.
Dr. Ana'Neicia Williams, DSW, LCSW, PMH-C, Kentucky Coordinator, SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective
Dr. Ana’Neicia Williams is a collective care practitioner who blends her creativity with a strong clinical foundation to curate therapeutic spaces that are deeply rooted in culture and ancestral practices. With a focus on maternal-child and reproductive health, as well as advocacy, Dr. Williams works to empower individuals and communities by fostering relationships that promote wellness. As the founder of Momology Maternal Wellness Club, LLC, she offers vision mapping and consulting services to organizations dedicated to supporting women and families.
In addition to her entrepreneurial efforts, Dr. Williams serves as the Kentucky State Coordinator for SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective, a national membership-based organization committed to reproductive justice for women of color. Outside of her professional roles, she is dedicated to community engagement, and educating individuals and families about how the integration of healing and wellness practices can lead to liberation.
Dr. Williams is a proud three-time graduate of Spalding University, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Social Work, and Doctor of Social Work with a specialization in Leadership and Administration. Her passion for learning continues as she serves as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, where she imparts her knowledge and expertise to the next generation of leaders.
