The The PARTNER II clinical trial using a nonsurgical transcatheter approach to aortic valve replacement comes to UofL and Jewish Hospital with Dr. Michael Flaherty as the Co-principal investigator.

UofL becomes part of new multicenter stem cell trial implanting circulating CD34+ progenitor cells in patient with refractory angina with Drs Roberto Bolli and Michael Flaherty as principal investigators. Read more

The Division of Cardiology reports that it's stem cell infusion clinical trial treatment is three times more effective than expected.

UofL awarded $9.56 million to form first-ever multi-center cardiovascular research network with the Division of Cardiology's Dr. Roberto Bolli as the principal investigator
