The University of Louisville is implementing a new set of technology productivity tools and services for faculty and staff with Microsoft Office365. Beginning with a migration of email and calendaring this summer into fall, Office365 will modify how we use Microsoft Outlook and upgrade our email security, compliance and data recovery tools. We look forward to the work efficiencies and cost saving opportunities available with these applications.

This first phase of a rollout of Office365 products and services will involve migrating employee and sponsored email accounts from being hosted on our internal UofL servers to being hosted on Microsoft’s dedicated cloud-based servers. Students, already successfully using Office365 since Fall 2010, will only see a slight change with their email address.

Some technical adaptation will be necessary during this migration process. UofL’s Information Technology will work closely with your departmental Tier1 to ensure a smooth and successful transition. Please consult our migration checklist and helpful guides. You will be notified in advance of your migration date and be able to find your specific date on ULink under My Page > Email Access. General customer service and technical support is available both before and after your migration date.
