By providing strong financial and operational leadership, the Office of Finance and Administration maintains all of the services necessary to provide efficient and effective business operations for a nationally recognized metropolitan research university and to meet the demands of our students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, the offices, units and departments that fall under the purview of this office work as part of the University’s mission and to power the goals and objectives of the University of the 21st Century plan.

Interim Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration / CFO

Charles Perusse

Currently, Charlie serves as the Interim Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer for the University of Louisville and functions as the senior financial and administrative advisor to the University President and other administrators. He maintains responsibility for leading the university’s overall financial and operational planning, management and administrative activities that span multiple units and affiliated entities.

Charlie received a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University.

Belknap Financial Affairs

Our various offices provide responsive and effective management of the professional budgeting, payroll, financial management, accounting and business services in support of the university’s mission and its broad array of academic and support programs. The offices of budget and financial planning; bursar; controller; operations support services; and payroll services report to the Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration.

HSC Financial Affairs

Our HSC offices work in collaboration with the deans of the UofL schools of dentistry, public health, nursing and medicine, along with other units of the HSC campus to cultivate financial health and growth. In our joint work with these schools, we provide operational and strategic leadership in support of the university’s goal to excel as a preeminent institution in its teaching, research and clinical missions.

Operations

The Operations unit provides operational support for the University of Louisville campus communities. Together we work to provide operational effectiveness and the enhancement of the overall experience that is aligned with the university’s vision and mission. The offices of Environmental Health and Safety; Facilities Management; Police and Parking; Procurement; and University Planning, Design and Construction report to the Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration.
