Ashyya Robinson Ashyya Robinson is the Director for TRIO Student Support Services. Before joining the University of Louisville, Ashyya worked five years with TRIO SSS at Berea College, serving first-generation and low-income students in urban communities and distressed Appalachian counties. In addition, Ashyya has a background in case management before her career in TRIO. Ashyya is a two-time graduate of Western Kentucky University, earning both her Bachelor’s (2014) and Master’s (2016) degrees in Social Work. Ashyya is eager to lead and serve the TRIO SSS program at the University of Louisville to sustain its dynamic legacy of supporting students in their academic and personal achievements. In addition, Ashyya is passionate about working with students from marginalized backgrounds and looks forward to her continuation in TRIO. |

Valissa White Valissa is a graduate of both the University of Louisville and Columbia State Community College, graduating with her associates in Business Administration and bachelor's in Organizational Leadership and Learning. While at UofL, she served as Vice President of the Society of Human Resource (SHRM) student chapter, BSOLL CardinOLL Ambassador Coach, and TRIO Student Mentor. During her educational journey, she fell in love with the college environment as a servant leader helping others reach their full potential. As a first generational, non-traditional low-income student with a disability herself, Valissa plans to bring her personal and professional experience to the amazing TRIO SSS program. |

Alison Miller Alison attended the University of Louisville where she studied Political Science, Communications, and Social Change. Throughout her career, she has worked in various administrative roles from Healthcare IT to Special Events with the Speed Art Museum. However, her true passion is in her volunteer work with her community and young people -most notably with the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association. In 2017, she received a Governor’s Service Award for her service to the Commonwealth in this capacity. Whether she is guiding young people on service trips taking her as far away as South Africa or serving on the executive board of her neighborhood association organizing cleanups and community festivals, her heart is truly in service to others. As a first-generation college student herself, Alison brings her experience and commitment to empowering others to TRIO Student Support Services. |
