Information Security Awareness and Training

A key component in the success of the University's Information Security Program is security awareness.  The Information Security Office provides a variety of awareness and training resources.  The ISO is available for formal or ad hoc presentations to your group.

This web site contains tips for spotting phishing/fake email messages, and instructions for accessing the ITS Phish Training page.

This web site contains several helpful articles on subjects including wireless, password, and personal information security.

Provide ongoing University-wide awareness through the use of general communications, brochures, signs email, websites, user templates, UofL Today articles and formal and ad hoc presentations.

The Information Security Office provides HIPAA Security training for individuals who are assigned to a department or unit within the covered component of our hybrid entity and have met the qualifications for completing the General HIPAA Privacy  or HIPAA Research training.  HIPAA Security training is required for all persons completing the HIPAA Privacy or Research training.

Information Security is a subset of the Institutional Compliance presentation included in the HR new employee orientation program.
