A Message from the ECRC Director
Welcome to our newly designed website just in time for the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Research Center (ECRC)!
For 20 years, we gather as a group of interdisciplinary scholars dedicated to leading research initiatives to better understand the lives of young children and their teachers. Learn about our history here.
As you peruse our website, be certain to check out the overview of our previous research efforts spanning two decades! Also, take note of our new logo (photos at the left). A special thank you to Emily Zuccaro, Eric Garrett, Dorothy Vittitow, and the entire design team at UofL for your efforts in the creation of this site.
We hope you will bookmark our site and follow us on social media as we continue to develop this site and offer new resources that will make research, theory and practice accessible to families, teachers, and the community.
As the president of the University of Louisville, Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, takes us through a process of strategic planning in 2019, it is also the goal of the ECRC to align our work with her ambitious goals of supporting UofL as a great place to learn, work, invest, and honor diversity, equity and inclusion throughout all that we do - - teaching, research, and service.
With that end in mind, we need your help! If you have ideas how the ECRC can support you, please let me know. You can reach me on email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for visiting our page . . . we look forward to continuing to develop this page so you will return again and again to learn about current research related to how young children learn and how we can all work to support their opportunities to learn, grow, develop, and thrive!
To teaching and learning,
