Virtual Rehearsal

Graduates may enter through the Main Street entrance of the KFC YUM! Center with their guests.  Once in the lobby, graduates ONLY will go down to the event level via the escalators/elevators near the ticket office on the east side, while guests take their seats.

Graduates and faculty ONLY have the option to use the express entrance on the event level on Second Street. (This may also be the best option for graduates and faculty with accessibility needs). This entrance will lead directly to the main event level, bypassing the lobby.

Once on the event level, graduates will be directed to the Student Check-In room, where graduates will pick up their name call card and may connect with faculty and advisors from their respective colleges. Proceed to the station corresponding with your college. Arts & Sciences will be split into multiple stations by major.

Graduates that did not RSVP in time to receive a name call card will pick up a blank card at the Registrar's table.

Exiting the check in room, graduates will be directed to their seats on the floor level.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00pm and will last no longer than two hours, culminating with a recessional and walk-out music at the end.

*** We are excited to introduce a brand-new tradition for commencement at the University of Louisville! If you’ve attended any home game during your time here, you already know what this is all about. We’re bringing that same Cardinal spirit and energy right to your graduation.

At the end of the ceremony, graduates all exit together to Joker and the Thief—the iconic song that gets every crowd fired up at Cardinals athletic events. This fun new tradition celebrates everything we’ve accomplished and gives graduates one last moment together as Cards.

This is an SGA initiative created by students, for students and is a way for grads to leave their mark on UofL and start something that will carry on for years to come.

Here’s the deal— this moment will only be as awesome as the energy we bring to it. So, get hyped, bring that same game-day energy, and go out with a bang! Please stick around until the end of the ceremony because this moment won’t be complete without everyone there to celebrate together!

We ask that graduates and their guests show consideration for their fellow graduates by remaining seated until the end of the ceremony. The last graduate to cross the stage is as important as the first! And always remember: Louisville is the greatest— Go Cards!
