Image shows relationship among the ITEMFC, BIFC and UofL shared resource facility cores.
ImageEfficiency
Maximizing the efficiency of Shared Resource Cores (SRC) for CIEHS members. (a) CIEHS PI meets with ITEMC to discuss and select ‘omics technology; (b) ITEMFC arranges meetings between PI, SRFC and BIFC; (c) PI brings samples directly to SRFC; (d) ITEMFC serves as primary contact between PI and SRFC, and monitors progress of sample analysis; (e) CIEHS facilitates data transfer between SRFC and BIFC.
ImageCore Interactions
This image shows the interaction between the ITEMFC and other components of the CIEHS. All interactions will be overseen by the Administrative Core.

Giemsa banded chromosomes of a human lung cell following 6 months of exposure to hexavalent chromium. The karyotype is pseudo-tetraploid with several chromosomes exhibiting deletions and structural rearrangements. The Cytogenetics Facility Core provides expertise in identifying genetic anomalies induced by exposure to environmental agents.
