May 2023 Notes from the Director

We are honored to have Dr. Robyn Tanguay as our invited speaker in June. She is a pioneer in the use of zebrafish as a model for developmental toxicology. I believe that her presentation will be inspiring!

As you can see from the new grant and publication listings, the past two months have seen a lot of productivity from CIEHS members. Congratulations to all on the fruits of their hard work.

In addition to the usual measures of productivity, our members have been recognized with a wide array of awards as listed in this newsletter. Please join me in congratulating them on their well-deserved recognition.

During the last visit, the CIEHS External Advisory Committee requested that we have a symposium showcasing all the great science being pursued by CIEHS members and their trainees. The symposium and next External Advisory Committee review will be October 30 and 31 respectively. Please mark you calendars and plan to participate. We look forward to a great turnout and trust that all members will contribute to making the symposium a great success. There will be a poster session in the morning with poster judging. We will give travel awards to the winners in various categories (similar to Research!Louisville). We will have lunch catered followed by selected oral presentations from our Research Interest Groups.
