DSST

University of Louisville students can visit the Office of Admissions website to see which DSST exams are currently accepted for credit.

Examinees are advised to contact specific departments within their colleges and universities regarding DSST acceptance policies before registering for any exam. It is the examinee's responsibility to ensure that he/she registers for the correct exam. You may take a practice test and download a DSST Candidate Information Bulletin at getcollegecredit.com.

There are two fees for a DSST exam: A $35 administration fee due upon registration for the seat at U of L and $85 to DSST payable through credit card on the day of the exam. Check DSST's website getcollegecredit.com for frequent discount codes.

Effective 2/1/2018, the DSST exam retake wait period is changing from 90 to 30 days.

**Principles of Public Speaking DSST is NOT offered at this testing location.**

If you have received ADA accommodations such as extended time, reduced distraction, a reader or a scribe from U of L's  (502-852-6938), please call our office BEFORE scheduling any exam.



Registration:

Click here to schedule your DSST exam.  Choose Group:  DSST Exam where you will then be required to choose which exam you are taking.  You will choose a date and time and then enter your personal information.  You will be required to pay the $35 fee online with a credit card.  Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

The day of the test you will be required to present valid government-issued photo ID (military ID required for Dantes-funded exams) and a credit card to pay for the $85 DSST exam fee at your testing computer.

We do not allow personal belonging (purses, backpacks, cellphone, keys, watches, fitness trackers, etc.) inside the testing room.
If you bring any prohibited items, you can store them in the locker you'll be assigned.
